Maxine “Mickey” Evelyn Crawley, 94, passed away December 9th, 2024. She was born in Carthage, Indiana, to parents Denver Pea and Gladys (Jackson) Usher.

Mickey grew up in Indiana and graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, Indiana.

On June 2nd, 1950, Mickey married the love of her life, James Crawley I. They shared 50 wonderful years together. James passed away November 12th, 2000.

A very hard worker, Mickey worked on the programming team for INB for many years until retiring in 1992. She was on the team that made the first ATM in the state!

Mickey was a vibrant, lovely woman. Her family was paramount in her life, and she adored her huge family. Never one to sit down for long, Mickey was always on the go. Whether she was running to the bank, or traveling cross country, any trip with Mickey was longer than you expected and much more exciting. She loved to be involved, and busy, heading numerous clubs and committees throughout her years. She was a talented bowler and played on several leagues. Mickey loved to travel, and her happy place was relaxing in the sunshine at the beach. Music was a passion for her, too. She enjoyed all different genres and loved to rock out at concerts. A true Hoosier, Mickey was a proud fan of the Colts, Pacers, and Indy 500.

A devoted wife, mom, grandma, GG, GGG, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Eugene “Sonny” Crawley (Carolyn), DeAnna Breedlove (Roger), Linda Kessler, Janet Harker, Rosa Campbell (Bill), James “Jimmy” Crawley (Susan), and Annette Crawley; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and her nephew Bob Myers II (Jane).

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Crawley I; her children Dana Crawley, Deby Crawley, and Steve Crawley I; and her sister Ruth Myers.

Visitation for Mickey will be Monday December 16th, from 10-1pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East; her service will begin at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
