It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maxine Anita Langley, who was born on April 8, 1959, in Kokomo, IN. She was the beloved daughter of the late William E. and Dorothy Obanon Langley.

On June 15, 1997, she married Leonard Wayne McNear. Though Mr. McNear passed away on February 11, 2020, their bond remains unbreakable.

Maxine dedicated many years of her life to service as security guard. Her compassion overflowed and touched the lives of all who knew her. She had a heart of pure gold, cherished moments spent sewing, relished in listening to music, and loved family gatherings and cookouts.

Known affectionately as Max, Mom, or Mamaw to those around her, her spirit shone brightest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On July 1, 2024, in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 2 Months, and 23 Days, Maxine Anita Langley passed away. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever live on through her son, Royal Andrew (Andy) Langley and wife Sandra of North Manchester, IN; daughters, Roi Andrea Cook of Stantonville, TN and Roiatta Anita Gist of Crossville, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer Nelms and husband Dallas, Garrity Cook, Dasha Hall, Zane Langley and wife Arianna, Dylan Hall and Miles Gist; great-grandchildren Layla, Theo and Kade Nelms; brothers Ernest Langley of Crossville, TN and Tim Godsey of Savannah TN; along with a multitude of extended family members and friends.

At her request, there will be a private family gathering.
