Maxine Estella Robertson was born in Madison, South Dakota on May 10, 1935, to Lawrence and Estella Alleman. Maxine was the youngest of her family which consisted of two brothers and two sisters. She grew up on a cattle ranch just northwest of Pierre, South Dakota where she learned to love to drive cattle with her dad and brothers. Maxine graduated from high school in Pierre, and shortly thereafter married Robert Robertson. They moved to Rapid City, South Dakota where Robert found work. During this time, Rick and Ann were born. The family moved to Great Falls, MT to pursue work. After a time, their son, Wade was born.
In her early years, Maxine enjoyed camping with her family in the mountains around Great Falls and was also very busy raising her family. In later years, she loved to be with her ten grandchildren and the many great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren were active in all types of athletics, and she enjoyed watching them compete. Her other joy was baking treats for everyone. She also loved to travel with her family and friends. Her most memorable trip was to Jerusalem to visit the Holy Land. She was a very spiritual person with great faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her family will greatly miss her.
