Maxine Elva Rocha passed into rest on December 30, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born February 7, 1951, to the late Santiago and Geneva Ochoa in Cuero, Texas.
Maxine was a caretaker for 7 years and was the restaurant manager for Golden Fried Chicken for 4 years. Maxine loved going to the beaches in Galveston and Port Lavaca. She was always on the go, while listening to 70s and 80s music as well as Mexican and Christian music. She also enjoyed playing cards, canvas painting, jewelry making, and joy riding.
Maxine is survived by her husband Juan Rocha, her daughters Tina Hernandez, Lisa Musgrave, and Monica Rocha; she is also survived by her siblings Frances Villarreal, Delia Vasquez, Julia Ayala, Janie Ochoa, Frank Ochoa, Abraham Orozco, Cynthia Yzaguirre, Richard Orozco, and Evangelina Orozco. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Santiago Orozco and Geneva Ochoa, she was preceded in death by great grandmother Estefana Munoz, her brother Jesus Orosco, and her sister Delia Mosqueda.
Serving as pallbearers are Abraham Orozco, Wesley Musgrave, Jacob Gonzales, Roland Herrera, Robert Pineda, Ruben Hernandez, Carlos Garibay, Mario Perez, Jr., Dakota Berkley, and Dereck McGrew.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel, 8819 US Hwy 87N, Victoria, TX., with Pastor Robert Ramirez, officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Cuero, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to help defray funeral costs.
