Pagenkopf Funeral HomeMaxine Myra Trudeau, age 82, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 9, 2026. She was born on January 12, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI.
An artist at heart, Max enjoyed attending ceramics classes where her creativity flourished, resulting in beautiful pieces that her family treasures. She could often be found exploring county fairs, wandering through flea markets, or enjoying the thrill of bingo nights and casino outings.
Max was a vibrant soul whose spirit and love for her family were truly larger than life. She spent 62 wonderful years sharing her life with her husband, with whom she enjoyed many memorable adventures in their motor home, camping and traveling together.
Max dedicated her life to raising her children, who were her everything. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Julie Sersch (Dale), and her sons, Richard (Lynda), James (Jackie), and David (Melissa) Trudeau; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister Lynda Berndsen; along with nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard; her parents; sisters Donna and Arlene; grandson Michael and granddaughter Ashley.
A heartfelt thank you to Rainbow Hospice, Emmy and to all the nurses and aids to whom we will always be grateful for.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rainbow Hospice in Max’s name are welcome.
A visitation to celebrate Max’s life will take place on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 10:00am-12:00pm with a service to follow.
