Max McCarthy, 29, of Northborough, died Friday, March 25, 2022 at home.
Maxwell Robert McCarthy was born on September 12, 1992, in Worcester, MA, to Patricia (Quinn) McCarthy and Kevin McCarthy. Max was a beloved son and the best father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Max is most remembered as a genuine, kind, compassionate, polite, and described by many as "the best guy they ever knew." His "bouncy walk, sparking blue eyes, and infectious smile, would always bring a smile to you, even on your worst day."
Max attended Peaslee Elementary, Melican Middle, and Algonquin Regional High School, graduating in 2011. After school, Max worked for Toys-R-Us, Wegmans, and Fed-Ex, gaining many friends along the way.
Max adored his son, Cameron, spending most weekends watching movies, playing with trains, playing outside, and at the playground. Cameron was Max's world.
After Cameron, Max's biggest passion was his music. Maniak Max, his stage name, loved to perform his original music whenever he could, playing venues in New England. Max was an avid snowboarder and skateboarder, often with that head of hair flying back.
Besides his parents, Max is survived by his brothers, Michael, Matthew his twin, and Mark McCarthy, all of Northborough. He is also survived by his son, Cameron, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many others who loved him.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St. Marlborough, MA 01752. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10:30am at St Bernadette's Parish, 266 Main St, Northborough, MA 01532.
A celebration of Max's life will be held in summer of 2022, date to be determined.
