It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of May Rosemary Davis, who departed this world on April 17, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on October 13, 1934, in Ontario, Canada, May's journey through life was marked by grace, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community.
May spent her professional life as a beautician, where her work was more than a career; it was a testament to her belief in the beauty and dignity of every person.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Davis, and her two sisters and five brothers, May's legacy continues through the lives of those she cherished most. She is survived by her devoted children, daughter Demmie (Art) Jones and son Andy Davis, who carry forward her spirit of kindness and compassion. Her six grandchildren, Carli Vellega, Lindsay Vellega, Erik (Angela) Davis, Erin (Billy) Poe, Kassidy Davis, and Katie Davis, as well as her two great-grandchildren Mason and Madison – were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and character. May also leaves behind her brother John (Rosemary) Laliberte, sisters Jenine Giare, Paulette McConville, and Jackie Laliberte, and sister-in-law Shirley Stanis, who will greatly miss her.
May's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and perseverance. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration to those who knew her, reminding us all of the beauty that can be found in a life dedicated to others. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind-a legacy of love, strength, and enduring grace.
