Maybry Elmer "Rusty" Hamilton of San Antonio, Texas, entered into rest on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his home at the age of 77.
Rusty was born on October 29, 1944 to Leo Elmer Hamilton and Joyce Colleen Hamilton in Agra, India. Rusty attended Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio, Texas and was a member of the Texas Air National Guard from June 1965 to June 1971. Rusty loved being outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
Rusty leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Diana; two sons, Russell (Jennifer) Hamilton and Ross (Amanda) Hamilton; three grandchildren, William, Addison and Hazel; brothers, Gary (Cynthia) Hamilton, Spud Hamilton and Rebel (Holly) Hamilton and sister Patti (Jack) Everett. Rusty enters into the gates of Heaven, reuniting with his parents, sister Cassandra, other family and friends that passed before him.
Visitation will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, Texas 78230 on Monday, December 6, 2021, 5-6 p.m. for family and 6-8 p.m. for the public. Memorial service will be held at Shearer Hills Baptist Church, 12615 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78216 on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 1 p.m.
Interment will be at Devine Evergreen Cemetery, Colonial Pkwy, Devine, Texas 78016 on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Sunshine Cottage.
