McKenzie Laura Lasagna, age 29, of Brenham, RAN into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station, Tx. with her family surrounding her with love and prayers.

Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Champion Fellowship Church where Kenzie loved to sing praises to our Savior. Always a little offkey, her sweet hands were reached up in adoration. The family will have an informal visitation in the lobby of the church after her service.

McKenzie was born on March 5, 1996, in College Station, Texas to Laurence "Phil" Lasagna and Robyn Hruby Lasagna. McKenzie attended Brenham ISD from the age of 3 years old until she graduated in 2015. She returned for a while to attend the 18+ vocational program, until her health would no longer allow.

McKenzie was baptized at Brenham United Methodist Church in 1996. McKenzie was a Girl Scout all the way through high school, and was an active member of the Special Olympics for many years, under the loving guidance of her "Miss Coach Schulze" (Angela Schulze Moore). Anyone who knew Kenzie, knew the most magical place on Earth to her was her beloved Camp For All in Burton, Tx. She attended a week-long camp every summer from the age of 8, until The Camp That Love Built (Camp for children and adults with Spina Bifida), held it's final camp after 50 years, last summer. She loved the freedom and independence that she was allowed when she was away at camp. She experienced things that people confined to wheelchairs were not often afforded. She zip-lined, rode horse back, rode motor cycles, and swam daily. Our family will forever be grateful for the experiences that she had at camp! Drop off and pick up was always a family affair, because it was so special for us to see her so happy.

McKenzie was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Laurence and Barbara Lasagna, and her "Poppy", Frank Hruby; cousins, Terah Lasagna and cousins David Scott Mitchell and Katy McCall Mitchell; her buddy/uncle, Calvin Stother, and close family friends, Pam Engelhardt Eldridge and Deanna Tanner. McKenzie is survived by her parents Phil and Robyn Lasagna, her adoring brother and sister, Madison and Kade Lasagna, her little best friend and niece, Poppie Sue Cadenhead, and her namesake and great grandmother, Laura Hruby, "Noni". Not to mention the numerous close friends who have become family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Camp For All, or the Spina Bifida Association of Texas.

Our family would like to thank the community of Brenham for the YEARS of love, support and prayers. To know Kenzie, was to love her, and she was certainly loved by the people of this community, and we will be forever grateful.
