It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved McKinli Anne Bauer, who left us far too soon on January 25, 2026, at the tender age of six. Born on November 5, 2019, in Sulphur, LA, McKinli brought joy and laughter into our lives with her bright spirit and infectious smile.McKinli was a little ray of sunshine who found joy in the simplest of things. She loved playing with family and friends, dancing, and cheering, and her playful energy lit up every room she entered. Her imagination knew no bounds-she enjoyed arts and crafts, face care, makeup, and dress-up, while always dreaming of her favorite Disney princesses. Whether outside playing or cozied up watching movies, a touch of pink or purple perfectly matched her vibrant personality. Her love for her pets, Emma and Koda, reflected the tender heart she had for all living things. McKinli cherished her time at school, where she formed friendships with her classmates and adored her teachers, who inspired her every day.McKinli is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her mother, Braedon Bauer, her father, Dustin Tatar, her Pop-Pop, Paul Bauer, her Tootsie, Rebecca Bauer, her Pops, Richard Tatar, her Lala, Lori Tatar, her loving Godmothers, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends. McKinli is preceded in death by her Nana, Autumn Fairbanks; aunt, Deborah Bauer; great grandfathers, Russel Fairbanks, Paul Heidleberg; great grandmother, Lanice Tatar; great great grandparents, Harold and Lottie Rhodes. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Jill Pierce and Addison with Heart of Hospice, St. Jude Research Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, Cypress Cove Elementary, and the entire Sulphur community for the unwavering support and love they've shown during this difficult journey. In loving remembrance of McKinli, a celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 6 PM at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church Hall, where family and friends will gather to honor her spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital or Plantatree.com in McKinli's name, helping to plant seeds of hope in her memory.McKinli will forever remain in our hearts, a beautiful reminder of the joy, love, and kindness she shared with everyone around her.
