Meaghan Loya

Meaghan Elizabeth Loya passed away peacefully on Sunday July 14, 2024 to join her lord Jesus Christ. She was the beloved wife of Jarrod Loya and mother of Remy Loya. She was born in Cocoa Beach, FL on July 11, 1990, beloved daughter of Deborah (Keenan) and Richard Stokes. Meaghan was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Edward and Ann Keenan and paternal grandparents Raymond and Eunice Stokes.
Meaghan graduated from Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell, GA in 2009. She graduated from Reinhart University in Waleska, GA with a BA in piano performance in 2013. She then went on to receive a BSRN from Charleston Southern University in 2020, and began her career as an ICU nurse in May of 2020 at MUSC Health in Orangeburg, SC.
Meaghan loved being a Mom, piano, hiking, painting, and her dogs.
She leaves behind her brother, Adam J. Stokes and sister-in-law Corinne Geisel, her in-laws Eric and Tricia Loya, sister-in-law Caitlin Loya, brother-in-law Quentin Loya, and niece Nora Loya, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 19th at 11:00 in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main St., Branford. Friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
