Megan Lee Isenhart, age 59, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born on June 29, 1965 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Paul and Linda (Kingsley) Nelson. She was married on May 18, 1985 in Cedar City, Mo. to Gregory Isenhart. The two had met as children and later reconnected as teenagers. They had shared nearly 40 years of marriage at the time of her passing.
Megan was a hard worker and valued work ethic. She worked in the claims department of Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years and most recently worked for Doolittle Trailers as a Quality Control Specialist. Over the years she held various other titles including working at Summit Villas Nursing Facility, a position she dearly loved.
Megan was a vibrant and fearless soul who lived life with passion, love, and adventure. Her journey began in St. Louis, where she discovered a deep love for softball, showcasing both talent and dedication to the game. The family moved to Holts Summit and later she attended Jefferson City High School, continuing to embrace her love for the sport by avidly following the MU Tigers Softball team well into adulthood.
Megan had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She and her husband shared a love for travel, creating cherished memories on the sandy shores of Alabama, the misty peaks of the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and the welcoming embrace of family in New Jersey. No matter where she was, Megan brought warmth, laughter, and an undeniable spark.
An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Megan found solace and joy in nature. Whether kayaking along the river, boating, camping under the stars, or casting a line while fishing, she felt most at home surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. She lived without hesitation, embracing every adventure that came her way.
Megan and her husband shared a bond that was unbreakable, living life on their own terms, with unwavering devotion to each other. Their love was fearless, a true testament to their belief that it was always the two of them against the world forever.
She was headstrong yet incredibly sweet, always ready for a good time and making the most of every moment. Megan truly lived life to the fullest, savoring each day with joy, laughter, and love. Her spirit will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Survivors include: her husband, Greg Isenhart of Holts Summit, Mo; two sons, Ethan Gregory Isenhart (Hazel) and Jeremy Isenhart; her mother, Linda Nelson; two brothers, Brett Nelson (Sherry) and Christopher Nelson (Dawn); one grandchild, Elizabeth Isenhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Nelson; and her brother, Drew Nelson (Lori).
