Melania Bajdan Obituary

Melania was born April 12, 1926, daughter of the late Adam and Franciszka (Paszkowska) Pawlowska in Kurmelany, Lithuania. On March 3, 1946 she married Walter Bajdan in Lithuania. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1976.
Melania and Walter immigrated to the United States with their five sons in 1963 and resided in Two Rivers. She worked at the Crescent Woolen Mills in Two Rivers for 28 years and retired in 1991. After Walter's death, Melania moved to a house built by her sons in Manitowoc, where she lived until her recent brief move to St. Mary's Nursing Home.
Melania was devoted to the two loves of her life; her family and her gardens. The grounds surrounding her home overflowed with beautiful flowers and produce year after year.
Melania is survived by 4 sons: Stanley (Mary) Bajdan, Manitowoc; John Bajdan, Francis Creek; Frank Bajdan, Manitowoc; Felix Bajdan, Manitowoc; 17 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; one sister: Wanda (John) Januscowska, Lithuania; as well as other relatives and friends in the U.S., Lithuania and Poland. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Henry Bajdan, eight brothers and sisters in Lithuania, two granddaughters Stasha & Tanya Bajdan, a daughter-in-law Sharon Bajdan, a great nephew Victor Bajdan, as well as relatives and friends in Poland and Lithuania.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish (3201 Mishicot Road), Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Family and friends are welcome at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
