Melanie Susan Chamberlain

Melanie Susan (McKay) Chamberlain, 60, passed away on October 28, 2025 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services of Marlow, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Melanie was born on March 1, 1965 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Donald and Marilyn (Reeves) McKay. She grew up in Rush Springs, Oklahoma where she graduated. Melanie married the love of her life, Charles Chamberlain, on October 5, 1985 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. They shared over 37 wonderful years together before Charles preceded her in death. Melanie spent her career in banking, working for Midfirst Bank, First Bank&Trust, and Arvest Bank as a loan reviewer. She liked spending time working in her yard, and she loved murder mysteries. She could often be found enjoying Columbo and Murder She Wrote. Melanie also loved her family and her pets dearly. She was very punctual and it showed through her collection of many clocks. Melanie's presence will be missed in the days to come amongst her family, friends, and pets.

Melanie was survived by her son, Blake Chamberlain of Marlow, her daughter, Brittany and Denton Holmes of Duncan, granddaughter, McKaya Holmes, her father, Donald McKay, five brothers, Steven and Lanetta McKay of Rush Springs, David McKay of Rush Springs, twin brother, Phillip and Vianey McKay of Wilmington, SC, Paul and Holley McKay of Washington, OK, and Patrick and Melissa McKay of Moore, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn McKay, husband, Charles Chamberlain, and brother, Don McKay Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in Alzheimer's or Dementia research.
