Born the daughter of the late John Sellman and the late Sandra (Carmichael) Sellman.
Beloved wife of Ronald Comer, II for 35 wonderful years.

Melanie was born and raised in Turtle Creek, and was a 1986 graduate of Turtle Creek High School. She took great pride in being born into the Sellman family and would often tell anyone that she had the best siblings in the world. She worked for 19 years as a nursing aide for Forbes Regional Hospital. Melanie was an animal lover, and had a selfless and caring personality, always willing to put the needs of others before her own. She loved the outdoors and taking trips camping and fishing. In recent years, she and Ron bought a home in Lady Lake, FL and also opened their own business together, Comers Cold Stop Italian Ice Co. Most of all, Melanie treasured the time spent and the memories made with her family, especially her grandkids.
Friends are welcome Monday from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Blessing Service will be held at 7 p.m.
