On July 24, 2025, Melanie R. Martinez left this world after fighting with everything she had. Her strength, resilience, and will to live were undeniable. In her final moments, she was surrounded by the love and presence of her family, who held her through until the end.

She is survived by (Parents) Valerie and Steve Devore, Richard Lovato, (Husband) Marty Martinez, (Son) Damon Nebeker, (Daughters): Amber (James) Sahagian, Justis (Cody) Long,
