Melanie Victoria Mozqueda, 14, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on May 12, 2024, at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. She was born in Nashville, on May 2, 2010, to Victor Mozqueda and Belkis Pena.
Melanie was a loving, beautiful, and caring person. She always helped out when you needed help. She was always there no matter what, she lived her best life on earth although there were a bunch of things she wanted to accomplish. She still lived to the most she could. She was considered as a sister everyone.
Melanie has been a constant pillar of support in everyone's life. Whenever someone needed to talk, she was there to lend a listening ear without judgment. Her unwavering presence during both good times and bad has been a source of comfort and reassurance. Melanie's willingness to drop everything and help out, no matter the circumstance, has strengthened her bond beyond just family. Through her actions, she has shown the true meaning of unconditional love and support
Melanie was a wonderful and sweet girl. She was intelligent, great, and caring. She was always positive and always motivating others. She was an awesome person who helped her family in many ways. She motivated everyone even through tough times. She was there to talk to when there was no one else. Melanie left us too soon but she's in a better place now and she's resting in peace. God knows what He is doing. Long live Melanie, siempre en nuestro corazones y en nuestros pensamientos
There will be a visitation with friends and family at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 12 noon until 8 pm, and the following day, Friday, May 17, 2024, 10 am until 1pm. We first met in soccer and we became like sisters. She was always comforting and we would take pictures with the group. She gave me a gift for Christmas and we felt really close. A special moment that me and Mel shared is when we first started talking in soccer and she made sure that no one was left out. Mel would always make me laugh and smile when I was sad she would always cheer me up. I will always remember when me and Melanie had a deep conversation and she told me that she's glad that we gave each other a chance as friends and then we became like sisters. Soccer reminds me of Mel because she was an amazing captain. Something I learned from Mel is to be the best version of yourself.

Dearest Belkis and Victor.......there are no words to express the depth of loss you must be feeling........ I can only offer my sincerest love and appreciation for knowing Melanie. I am so grateful to have met you and your family and be the recipient of your of many hours of loving care you have given us. I am especially grateful Melanie and Stephanie were able to attend my most recent birthday. The joy and excitement on Melanie´s face was contagious and made me feel like a kid again. I am honored to have her well wishes to me scrawled on my "guest book"........what is so sweet about this, is how Stephanie followed along with her signatureWhat a beautiful tribute to see how her Big Sister love and actions shine
With great love, Grace and Patrick
