Life’s Journey

Melanie Louise Robinson

You are not forgotten loved one, nor will you ever be,

as long as life and memory last;

We will remember thee. We miss you now;

our hearts are sore as time goes by we’ll miss you more.

Your loving smile, your gentle face,

No one can fill your vacant place.

Melanie Louise Robinson was born on November 14, 1945, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Zella Mae Nelson and Harold Robinson.  She was the second child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by her sisters, Priscilla and Bonnie.  As a child, she enjoyed singing and drawing.  Growing up, she loved the special moments shared with her mother, whether combing and fixing her hair, watching movies, and doing those mother and daughter activities.

Melanie received her early education by attending the Denver Public School system.  She later earned her certification to become a CNA.

Melanie was the proud mother of two beautiful children, a son named Kevin and a daughter she named Tammy.  She was a loving and devoted mother who took great pride and joy in the nurture of her family. In November of 1968, Melanie married, Dale Sudduth in Denver, Colorado. The family enjoyed movie nights and spending quality time as a family.  They all shared many happy and precious moments together.  She was later blessed with seven grandchildren, Shiere, Jerome, Contrell, Azia, ZaQuan, ZaKevion, DeShay; ten great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren, who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life.  They lovingly called her “Bammy” and fondly remember all the happy and memorable moments they shared together.

By profession, Melanie was employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant.  She was hard working, dedicated, and performed her duties with a spirit of excellence.

Melanie was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed listening to music, dancing, singing, and drawing.  She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful woman.  To know Melanie was to love her.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Foster; her parents, Zella Mae Parker and Harold Robinson; and both her sisters, Priscilla and Bonnie;

Melanie Louise Robinson departed this life on October 26, 2023, in Aurora, Colorado.  Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her son, Kevin D. (Robin) Harris; 7 grandchildren, Contrell (Gaylon) Gray, Shiere Gray, Azia Harris, ZaQuan, Harris, Zakevion Harris, DeShay Harris, and Jerome Gray; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
