Melba Darlene "Misnor" Correa

Darlene Correa, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and fierce protector of her family, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pete Correa, whom she married in December 1953. Pete passed away fourteen years ago, and not a day went by that Darlene did not carry his memory with her.

Family was the center of Darlene's world. She is survived by her 4 sons: John, Michael, Dwayne and Christopher: her daughters in law; Jeanette, Cindy, Violet, and Jo Ann. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren Kelly, Stacey, Danielle, Aaron, Andrew, Joseph, Miranda, and Hailey, and her beloved great-grandchildren Joshua, Ethan, Kyle, Matthew, and Thomas, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Darlene had a deep love for nature, especially birds. Hummingbirds and peacocks brought her particular joy, and she could often be found on her porch feeding and watching wild birds with quiet contentment. She treasured afternoons spent at the Korean Bell, family dinners, and any moment that brought her loved ones together.

Known for her brutal honesty and unwavering strength, Darlene was always the first to step up when a family member needed help. Her love was fierce, protective, and unconditional. A devoted Catholic, her faith guided her life and sustained her through every season.

Darlene will be remembered for her courage, loyalty, sharp wit, and the deep, enduring love she had for her family.
