Melba Ferrill Obituary
Born and raised in Buffalo, Missouri, Melba later made her home in Collinsville, Illinois. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose kind heart and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
Melba dedicated many years of her career to K-Mart, where she was known for her reliability and friendly nature. She spent the last part of her working life at Anderson Hospital, where she eventually retired, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Brian Ferrill (Lauren Riley and Stella) and Brent Ferrill (Amy Stoner), and her cherished grandson, Curtis Ferrill.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen Ferrill, as well as her parents and siblings.
To know Melba was to love her. She will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the unconditional love she shared so freely with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231
Visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, from the chapel of HERR Funeral Home in Collinsville, Illinois.
The family is being served by HERR Funeral Home, 501 West Main Street, Collinsville, Illinois 62234.

Melba and I worked together for many years at Anderson hospital! Melba was a very kind person and would do anything for people! My condolences are will her family! She is now at peace!

My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Melba was a sweet kind and caring friend. She loved her St Louis Cardinals. Every Friday a bunch of friends met up at American Legion for fish, karaoke and baseball. You will be missed dear friend

Melba was such a sweet heart. I worked with Melba for several several years in the business office at Anderson Hospital. We sat at our desks across from each other and become very good friends. We had a lot of fun being together. Melba was a very easy going person and always ready and willing to help others. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
May God immensely bless her in Heaven.
