Melba Ann Gonzalez

Melba Ann Gonzalez, 61, of San Antonio, Texas After a long battle with a chronic illness went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 20 2023. She was born in Alice Texas on May 17, 1962 and his proceeded in heaven, by her mother, Librada Cavazos, & her father, Salvador Cavazos.  She was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother, and especially enjoyed her time living life for her family. She was generous and compassionate, and made an impact to those close to her. She also had a key role as Director of Religious Education for Saint Anthony’s Church. She was married to her husband, Raymond Gonzalez for 42 years. She graduated from Alice high school.  She is survived by her husband, Raymond Gonzalez, daughters Priscilla Hernandez, (Miguel) Emma (6), Michael Hernandez (5), Cristina Cato, (Salim) Giovanni (14), Dylan(8), Camila(1), Olivia (3 months) and Amanda Dunagan (Lawson), Ellie Mae (2) Layton (11 months).  She also survived by her many nieces and nephews, those including Rolando Cavazos, Melissa Benavidez, and so many other friends & loved ones. Service times to honor Melba include a rosary and mass to be held Thursday, November 30 from 10 AM to completion time which will be followed by the burial at the Holy Cross Catholic cemetery.
