Melissa Carol Cabrera was born on February 22nd, 1969 at Miami Valley Hospital, where she also spent many years of employment. She graduated from Belmont High School in 1987.
She joined her late husband Nicanor Ponce Cabrera, her aunt Mary Lou, and her granddaughter Buena Cabrera on February 7th 2024.
Melissa is survived by many, including her father and mother, Jerry and Linda Ray Huddleson, her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Alma Huddleson, Daughters Kristal Elizebeth Cabrera, Melinda Elaine Cabrera (Tyler Anderson), her son Travis Alan Cabrera (Jessica Cabrera), and grandchildren Kyleigh May Killburn, Aden Nicolaus Pierce, Abel Pierce, Emilia Grace Inskeep, Ricky Allen Barker III, Summerlin Leigh Ponce Cabrera, Xavier Keith Anderson, and Nicanor Jerry Micheal Cabrera. She is also survived by many family members and friends.
Melissa was a proud and devoted mother. She made sacrifices for the people she loved, and she did so willingly, without hesitation. She was a passionate, forgiving, witty, and faithful soul who will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd Beavercreek, Ohio 45432) on Friday February 16, 2024 at 11:30 am with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Garden.
