A Bardstown resident, Mrs. Melissa Dawn Culver Goff, age 49, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born May 28, 1976 in Ft. Knox to Joseph Lonnie and Virginia Faye Cissell Culver. Melissa was the Program Project Coordinator for the Citizen Foster Care Review Board and was a United States Army veteran. She loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Troy Goff, her stepdaughter, Karli Goff, her parents, Lonnie and Faye Culver of Bardstown, her sister, Jessica (David) Sparrow of Bloomfield, her father-in-law, Ricky (Lori Jo) Goff of Chaplin, mother-in-law, Kathy (Gary) Riggs of Bardstown, sister-in-law, Amy (Greg) Mattingly of Mt. Washington, brothers-in-law, Davy (Virginia) Goff of Bardstown, Coby Goff of Charleston, SC., and her nephews and nieces, Trey, Cooper and Emma Sparrow, Dawson, Andrew and Grant Goff, and Harper and Eli Mattingly. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral. Fr. Bill Hammer, celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-8:00 pm at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. Additional visitation will be Monday from 8:30-10:30 am. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
