Melissa Bailey "Missy" Dawson

Cumberland, MD Melissa Missy Bailey) Dawson, 38, of Cumberland, MD, passed away at home, Sunday, August 28, 2022, after a battle with Melanoma, with her family by her side.
Born March 5, 1984, in Phoenix, AZ, Missy was the daughter of Darrel Franklin Bailey and Carolyn Yvonne (Fisher) Bailey. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: William and Edna (Hager) Fisher; paternal grandparents: Charles Bill H. Bailey and Roxie Maple (Sommerville) Roach, and her husband, Wayne; her uncle: William Fisher, Jr.; and a cousin: Franklin C. White.
Missy was a Graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 2002, where she was a cheerleader. She was formerly employed at Bob Evans Restaurant. Missy had a strong love for her Lord, and her children were her life.
Surviving besides her parents are her son: Dakota Glen Westfall and girlfriend, Emma Wagoner, and his father, Glen Westfall; her daughter: Isabella Yvonne Dawson, and her father, Andy Dawson; her brothers and sisters: Leroy King and wife, Carla, and their son, Christopher; Denise Kiff and husband, Kevin; Sheri Weimer and husband, Patrick; and Darrel Kevin Bailey. She is also survived by her fianc Eric Mawhinney; special nieces: Brittany, Carissa, Kayla, and Miranda; her close cousin: Elizabeth; and special friend and caregiver who loved her deeply and gave up everything to take care of her: Alicia Cartwright; as well as numerous other family members.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M., with Aaron Mohler officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
