Melissa Ditzfeld Obituary

Melissa Ann Hilsenbeck-Ditzfeld, 52 of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics.

The celebration of life will be 10:30am, Friday, March 7, 2025 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Tony Chapman officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Melissa was born on December 18, 1972, in Cresco, Iowa to Gregory and Shirley Ann Hruska Robinson. She attended schools in California, MO, graduating from California High School with the class of 1991.

On October 1, 1994, in California, MO, she married Lawrence L. Hilsenbeck, Jr., they later divorced. On July 5, 2024, she married Wesley L. "Wes" Ditzfeld, at the Lake of the Ozarks. Wes survives of the home.

Melissa worked on the production line for Tyson for several years, before retiring due to health issues.

Additional survivors include her sons Christopher Hilsenbeck of California and Gregory Hilsenbeck of Colorado Springs, CO; father Gregory Robinson of Clarksburg; stepson Robert Ditzfeld (Carly) of Gulf Weight, TX; sister Sally Martin (Justin) of Clarksburg, along with two grandchildren Emmery and Carter and some nieces and nephews and cousins.

Melissa was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Ann Robinson.

I worked along side of Melissa at tysons for years. She was a good friend, and I know she will be missed. I hope that emmery and Carter know how much their grandma loved them, and was always proud of them.
