Melissa Guy Harris, a resident of Denham Springs, sadly left us. She was born on August 1, 1968, and passed away on August 10, 2024, at 56 years old. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Linda Guy. She is survived by her two children: daughter Kelly and her husband Kenny Hoffman of Pride, LA; son Dustin and his wife Megan Harris of Greensburg, LA; and four granddaughters, Kynnleigh Hoffman, Kylee Harris, Kenlee Harris, and Maddie A. Harris. She is also survived by one sister, Jennifer Guy, and nephew Christopher Hutchinson, both from Denham Springs, LA.
Melissa enjoyed cooking, cross-stitching, and spending time with family and friends. She was an organ donor and was able to share the gifts of her liver and kidneys with recipients, and her pancreas was donated for diabetes and cancer research. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made towards the cost of the cremation. For information on donating, see the link below.
For those who would like to join us, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 12 P.M. at 22176 Liberty Rd, Pride, LA 70770. We ask that anyone who would like to attend please bring a covered dish of your choice.
