Melissa Hitson Obituary
Melissa "Lisa" Hitson, 58, of Cleveland passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Lisa was born on May 21, 1965 to the late E.J. and Wilma Browder Hamby. Lisa had many hobbies including walking the greenway and feeding the ducks. She also enjoyed Crocheting with her sister, Janice.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Charlie Jacob Hitson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Charlie Hitson; son, Jackie Hitson; her daughter, Donna Marie; brothers, Julian (Missy) Hamby, John (Amber) Hamby; her stepmother, Margaret Hamby; sisters, Janice (Marvin), and Cindy Hamby/McCann; her grandchildren, Joshua Hitson, Breanna Hitson, Sebastian Nichols, and Shelby Long; Along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Beacon Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm prior to the service.
A Graveside will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at McInturff Cemetery at 11:00 am.
