She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish the memory of Melissa include her daughter, Monica Lamey; her son, Branden Lamey (Shannon Wheeler); her granddaughters, Mila Lamey and Olivia Lamey; and her sister, Marcie Padron.
Melissa was a strong-willed and resilient woman. She cherished her granddaughters and treasured every moment with them. Melissa was an amazing cook and would often share recipes and techniques and was delighted to get ideas for meals that she had never tried or had forgotten about. A lover of books as well as films, she also loved music from the 80s. Melissa will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
