Melissa Jubane Llantero
Date Of Birth: 04/06/1992
Date of Death: 09/04/2024
Melissa Jubane Llantero was born on April 6, 1992 in Monterey, California to a multigenerational family of U.S. military veterans including her grandfather, father, brother, and numerous uncles and cousins.
Her life was tragically taken away on September 4, 2024 at age 32 just a few days after she married the love of her life, Bryan Llantero, an active duty military member. Melissa was married in her dream setting surrounded by loving friends and family in Hawaii, where she and Bryan first met.
Melissa grew up throughout the country until she moved to Washington state at the age of 11. After graduating high school in Bremerton, Washington, Melissa earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Seattle and graduated from nursing school in Portland, Oregon. She would eventually embark on her career as a cardiac nurse at Providence St. Vincent in Beaverton where she adored her work family and cherished the privilege she had to care for members of her community.
Melissa was deeply kind, warm, light-hearted, and was known for always being welcoming and considerate to everyone around her. She was a passionate plant parent, loved the sunshine weather, valued culture of all communities, and consistently brought people together through joy and laughter. She lived a life of pure goodness, always choosing to do what was right despite the situation. Melissa also harbored an intense adoration for her dog, Rocky, her baby boy. She had just begun her life as a military spouse beside her newlywed husband and looked forward to a lifetime of adventure, love, and family.
She will be remembered by her loving husband Bryan, her father Valentin, her mother Susana, her brother Maverick, the Jubane and Llantero family, her dog Rocky, and extended family, friends, and coworkers. To have known Melissa was to love her. May the legacy of our beloved Melissa Jubane Llantero continue to live on in our hearts, minds, actions, and souls.
A hui hou.
