Funeral Services for Melissa McNeely McGlothlin will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, 8789 Highway 8, Colfax, Louisiana with Reverend Steve Honeycutt officiating and with services entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Sammy McNeely, James McNeely, Tristen McNeely, Jhon Ward, Cole Young, Jacob Pardue, Dale Jhonson, and Robert Whitehead,
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until service time all at the church.
Melissa McNeely McGlothlin, age 49, of Colfax, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family in Colfax.
Melissa is preceded in death by her father, Luther McNeely; and her mother, Carol Ann Lester.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Walter McGlothlin, Jr.; her loving children, Justin McGlothlin (Caitlin Thompson), Tesa McNeely, and Ricky McNeely; her 12 grandchildren; her brothers, Dwayne McNeely, Darryl McNeely, and William McNeely; her very best friend, Michelle Normand; nieces, nephews, other family, and numerous friends.
Melissa was a dedicated employee of Grant Parish School Board as a School Bus Driver for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling to her favorite places which were Arkansas and the beach. Melissa loved hunting, fishing, and most importantly spending quality time with her family and friends.
A kind and gentle lady, Melissa was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
