With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we remember the beautiful life of Melissa who passed away far too soon at the age of 29 on April 30, 2025.
Born on February 28, 1996, in Texas, then after growing up with family in Michigan she made the brave move to Washington State at just 19 years old. It was there, in the heart of Tacoma, that she truly blossomed-building a life filled with joy, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Tacoma became more than just a city to her; it was her playground, her canvas, and her home. No matter where she was, she could turn any day into an adventure and any place into something special.
To know her was to love her. She lit up every room she walked into with her warmth, humor, and that unmistakable sparkle in her eyes. People were drawn to her effortlessly-whether it was her kindness, her fierce spirit, or her magnetic energy, she left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
She never let anything stand in her way. When she set her mind to something, she got it done-always with grace, determination, and humility. She constantly put others before herself, offering her time, her heart, and her strength without hesitation.
Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on in every person she touched and every adventure she inspired. She was a force of light, a giver of love, and a true original.
She will be missed more than words can express, and loved forever by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Celebration of life will be held 4pm, May 15, 2025 at Peace Haven Chapel 7714 Douglas Street West Tacoma, WA 98499
