Melissa was born January 26, 1964, in Nashville, TN, to the late Milton Jerry and Ruby Lee (Pewitt) Toombs.
She was called "Sister" by all who knew her. She was always there for everyone, whenever there was a gathering, good or bad, she was there. She adored her cat, "Milo." She was loved by many cousins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, John Toombs, Greg (Marty) Toombs, James (Josie) Toombs, and Milton Toombs; nieces and nephews, Payton Toombs, Shelby Lancaster, Dillon Toombs, Justin Toombs, Jerry Toombs, Jessie Bagcal, Ozzy Withrow, and Andrew Toombs ; and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made to help cover cost of services.
Visitation and funeral services will be Friday, October 17, 2025, at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation services will be from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Funeral service will be at 7:00 P.M. with Bro. Aaron Mangrum officiating. Interment will be in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 12:30 P.M.
