Melissa Kay Stanley

Melissa Kay Stanley age 55 of Smithville passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at Generations Center of Spencer. She was born February 2, 1971, to her parents the late Hiram and Ruth Ervin Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald, Rickey and Randall Stanley. Ms. Stanley was affiliated with the Nazarene Church and worked at Texas Boot. She is survived by son, Johnathan (Jasmine) Adcock of Smithville; grandchildren, Johnathan and Peytin Adcock; brothers, Eddie (Louella) Stanley of Smithville, Michael (Mandy) Stanley of Smithville; sister, Jennifer McCawley of Smithville; sister-in-law, Kathy Stanley; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive. Graveside services and burial will be held 11:AM Friday, March 13, 2026, at DeKalb Cemetery with Bro. Donnie Kelly officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery; there will not be any visitation or services held at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Stanley family.
