Melissa Leigh Williams was born September 29th, 1970 and passed away on December 19, 2024 after a courageous battle against early onset Alzheimer's disease.
Melissa graduated from Zama American High School at Camp Zama, Japan in 1989; where she was able to travel throughout the far east. She received her bachelor's degree in architecture from Oklahoma State University in December 1996. Shortly after college, Melissa married Ryan Williams on October 3rd, 1998. They have one beautiful daughter, Gray Lynn.
Among her many lifetime achievements, she was a high school cheerleader, lifeguard, marathon runner, amazing artist, and architect. Melissa's drawings are hanging in all of our families' homes. Melissa and Ryan opened W2 Studio in 2001 which was the beginning of a very successful Design Build business. Melissa designed beautiful homes throughout her career and several have been featured in prominent Dallas magazines.
In her free time, Melissa loved to cook, travel and spend time with friends and family. Her passion for travel began while living in Japan. She visited Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines, Okinawa and all throughout Japan. She continued her travels when she met Ryan at OSU. Together they traveled extensively throughout Europe. She even took her youngest brother, Matthew, to Sweden, Norway and Denmark for his High School graduation.
Melissa had a huge heart and shared it with many people. Her smile and laughter will never be forgotten. Her family would also like to acknowledge and thank all her friends and family who supported her during her difficult battle against Alzheimer's.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Ryan; daughter, Gray; father, Mike (Linda) Greeson; father-in-law, Gary (Dayna) Williams; mother-in-law, Debbie (Jerry) James; maternal grandmother, Joan Larecy; siblings, Michelle Greeson and her daughter Natasha, Michael Greeson and Matthew Greeson; and numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gretchen Greeson, in 2007.
A reception will be held after the service from noon-3 p.m. at the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 SE Adams Blvd.,
Bartlesville, OK 74003.
Services will be held on Monday, at 10 a.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – in the Walker Brown Chapel. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel.
