Mello Bing Coney

Mello Coney was born on July 22, 1964, in Citra, Florida to Lessie Mae and Raymond Bing Jr. She resided in Ocala, Florida most of her life moving to Bradenton, Florida for a short while. She gave her life to Christ in the summer of 1980. She worked as a paraprofessional in 1984 in Marion County. She later received her bachelor's degree and became a teacher in Manatee County. She worked for the school system for 38 years before retiring to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved to teach and listen to gospel music and spend time with her family.
She was passionate about inspiring the youth through education.
She transitioned away in Tampa, Florida on October 14, 2025.
She is predeceased in death by her husband Alfonzo Coney and parents Lessie Mae and Raymond Bing Sr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: daughter Johna Coney-Jamerson (Najee) and son Jared Coney of Ocala, FL. Sisters Mae Helen Bing of Bradenton, FL, Maxine Morley (Henry), brothers Raymond Bing Jr. (Shelia) of Sarasota, FL and Darron Bing of Ocala, FL. Grandchildren McKenna and Grayson Ezzo, Aunts Catherine Holmes Monroe, GA and Bessie LeGree of New Berry, FL, Virginia Bing and Willie Jean Bing of Fort White, FL and one Uncle Johnathan Mosley of St. Pete FL. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
