Meloni Dawn (Thornton) Bradburn, born on February 8, 1953, in Murray, Utah, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on September 1, 2025, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was 72 years old. Meloni was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many. Her life was marked by deep devotion to her family and a quiet strength that carried her through life’s joys and challenges. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard Bradburn; her daughters, Dawn (Cory) Croegaert and Trish (Kevin) Whitehead; and her cherished grandchildren: Thorn Croegaert, Madison Croegaert, Lily Whitehead, Luke Whitehead, Kinsley Whitehead and many special nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Meloni also leaves behind her siblings: Christy (Mike) Bradburn, Kari (Jerry) Martin, and Shawn (Sharon) Thornton. Her Brothers-in -law: Kenneth (Polly) Bradburn, Terry (Lorene) Bradburn, and Sister-in-law: Sharon (Randy) McKee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Donna Thornton, as well as her sister Robin Curtis.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A celebration of life to honor Meloni will be held on September 14th, 2025, from 1pm to 3pm at the Smith Life Event Center 1404 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN. Please join us for food, refreshments and most of all to share the memories and love that we have of Meloni.
