Melva James Obituary
Melva L. James was born January 9, 1929, to Carl and Maxie L. (Cole) Teeter in Russellville, Arkansas on Crow mountain. She married Lowery James in 1947 on the Teeter family farm in New Deal, Texas.
Mrs. James is survived by her children, Gary James and partner, Debbie; and Tonya (Larry) Stokes; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl (Maryann) Teeter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowery; her parents, Carl and Maxie Teeter; and a sister, Ruth Chandler.
Mrs. James' family suggest memorial donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, at https://www.stjude.org in her memory.
