On Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, friends may visit Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 5151 Baltimore National Pike, Baltimore, MD 21229 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
On Thursday, October 27th, 2022, services for Mr. Bates will be held at St. John Baptist Church 9055 Tamar Drive, Columbia, MD 21045, where family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM with services to follow.
The interment will be held at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
If desired, in honor of Melvin B. Bates, a donation can be made to 100 Black Men of Maryland in lieu of flowers.
