Melvin Howard Obituary
Born May 26, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland, Melvin was the beloved son of the late Melvin E. Howard, Sr. and Margaret (Weiler) Howard.
A 1969 graduate of York Catholic High School, Melvin dedicated many years in service as a Baltimore City Police Officer, retiring after a distinguished 20-year career. Following his service to the community, he worked at Harley-Davidson, where he enjoyed being around motorcycles and like-minded friends.
Melvin's passions included motorcycles, boating, and in his later years, fixing tractors. A true animal lover, he delighted in the companionship of his dogs, Molly and Sarah, who were beloved members of his family.
He was the devoted husband of 31 years and together for 37, to Anna M. (Cronin) Howard, and is also survived by his extended family and many friends.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11 at Saint Joseph Church-Dallastown 251 East Main Street, Dallastown, PA 17313. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Dallastown Union Cemetery.
