Melvin Ward

Melvin H Ward passed away peacefully at home on February 27th, 2026, surrounded by family.

Melvin proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. During his service, he was stationed in Fukuoka, Japan, where he met his beloved wife, Teruko "Terry". Following his service, he worked as an engineering technician, dedicating many years to his profession to Gould Company.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Terry Ward, his sister, Gladys Ford; and his cherished dog, Powder. Melvin is survived by his son, Brian (Nina) Ward; his cherished grandchildren, Jason and Brent Walling; and his sister, Jan Pesci.

Melvin had a deep love for baseball and was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed model trains, drawing, building computers, traveling, and playing the lottery. Known by many as a talented and reliable handyman who could fix just about anything. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, creativity, and willingness to help others.

Melvin will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Visitation will take place on March 5 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Home Brunswick. A service will follow the next morning at 11:00 am at Carlson Funeral Home Brunswick.
