Melvin Eugene Wise

Melvin Eugene Wise of Kernersville passed Monday, October 27, 2025 at the age of 78 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Alvin Willam Wise and Effie Gertrude Stout Wise and husband to Linda Ann Holcomb Wise.

A native of Delaware County, Oklahoma, he was married to his wife Linda Ann Wise for 48 years. Most of his life he worked as a roofer and his last job he worked at Sears as a service contractor for 18 years until the age of 70. In his younger years he loved working on cars, going to the mountains. He loved his family and the times they were all together. He adored his 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Most of all he loved the Lord.

He is survived by his wife Linda Ann Wise, daughters Melinda Boone (and husband Ronald) and Melissa Trenary (and husband Jim), grandchildren Crystal Clapp (and husband Andy), Nicole Weaver (and husband David), Cody Trenary (and wife Kendra), and Kyle Trenary (and wife Megan), great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Autumn and Brady Clapp, Analeigh, Makaylin, Dawson and Malachi Weaver, Dean, Macey, Julia and Samuel Trenary, and four sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister and two brothers.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2:00pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church at 1:00 pm before the service. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
