Melynda Jo Meeks, age 58, passed away on February 9, 2026, at her home in Cedar Hill, Tennessee after a hard fight with a lengthy illness. Born on October 17, 1967, in Washington, Iowa, she embodied a spirit of warmth and vitality that touched all who had the fortune of knowing her. Melynda is survived by her loving wife Dana Poff, mother Linda Quinn, Father Richard (Malinda) Meeks, brother Glen Meeks, and stepbrothers Aaron (Laura) Adam and Joe (Melissa) Adam, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members.
Melynda was a woman of faith and had a love of the Lord. She was a proud graduate of Austin Peay State University, where she earned her BSN, RN. She would go on to further her education at Middle Tennessee State University where she would complete her Master’s Degree and receive her Family Nurse Practitioner license. Those who worked alongside her at Nashville Neurology Associates witnessed her dedication and compassion firsthand, as she skillfully navigated the complexities of the healthcare setting with both grace and an unwavering commitment to her patients.
Beyond her professional talents, Melynda was a guitarist with a beautiful singing voice whose melodies echoed through the hearts of her friends and family. Her passion for music resonated throughout her life, weaving itself into the fabric of her soul. An avid sports fan, she immersed herself in the games of softball, football, and golf, celebrating victories and learning lessons from defeats. Melynda also cherished simple pleasures that being outdoors allowed. Reveling in the tranquility of boat rides that allowed for her to experience breathtaking sunsets, these moments were a part of her most cherished memories.
Among her proudest accomplishments were her family and friends whom she held dear, her love for them immeasurable. Aside from her family, she was an animal lover who loved four-legged babies, especially her dogs, donkeys, and cats, as well as the fur babies she was able to foster. Melynda's life was a testament to the joys of connection, the power of compassion, and the beauty found in each day.

As we gather to celebrate her legacy, Melynda will be remembered on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center with visitation beginning at 12pm and a funeral service following at 2 PM. A reception will follow for family and friends after the funeral starting at the 3 o’clock hour. She will find her final resting place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Melynda Jo Meeks leaves behind not just memories, but a heartfelt reminder of what it means to embrace life in its many intricate patterns; a chorus of laughter, love, and friendship that echoes on in the hearts she touched.
