Memselle Relyea Johnson

Memselle Relyea Johnson, age 61, passed away on March 5th, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama, surrounded by her children and sister. She was born on January 24th, 1965, in Boise, Idaho, to Russell and Lucille Relyea.

Memselle grew up in Meridian, Idaho, and graduated from Meridian High School. She later attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she met and married Robert Johnson.

Memselle devoted twenty years to raising her four children in Kennesaw, Georgia, before returning to work. She loved connecting with people and had a gift for forming genuine and lasting friendships with both coworkers and customers. Memselle had a natural talent for floral and interior design and spent several years working at Acorn Home and Garden. She later held managerial roles at Brighton Collectibles and eventually served as Assistant Office Manager at Depew Orthodontics.

Memselle enjoyed living an active life and participated in tennis leagues, boot camps and CrossFit. She believed in taking care of her body and loved staying healthy and strong.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many roles throughout the years. She loved organizing and leading music, teaching Sunday lessons, and sharing her beautiful voice in church choirs.

Memselle was known as a bright and beautiful light to everyone who knew her. She embodied kindness, warmth, and sincerity. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and her love for her children and grandchildren was evident in everything she did.

She is survived by her beloved children, Mekelle (Kyle) Bess and their children Harrison, Brooklyn, and Peyton; Rebecca (Jason) Crofts and their children Cameron, Bradley, Claire, Logan, and Dallin; Kaley (Mitchell) Jensen and their children Barrett and Grayson; and Brandon (Jorjia) Johnson and their children Hayes and Baker; as well as her mother, Lucille Relyea; and her siblings, Randy (Jenny) Relyea, Rusty (Denise) Relyea, Luanne (Matt) Livingston, Kimberlee (Todd) Guin, Ryan (Michelle) Relyea, and Ramon (Kiera) Relyea and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Relyea.
