Mentha Lee Cook was born on October 28, 1941, to Robert Lee Cook and Frankie (Jones) Cook. She spent her childhood in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, where she attended school until she got married. Mentha worked at Strongberg Carlson for many years until she started her own business, UNIQUE CLEANING SERVICE. Mentha loved nature and the outdoors; she enjoyed activities like gardening, camping, and fishing. Music was another passion of hers, and she loved dancing and listening to live bands. She was also a talented songwriter, often writing about her life experiences. She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters, LaVonna Jo Hammons and Kelly Denise (Hammons) Venable, her two sons, Craig Allen Catron and John Lee Catron, grandchildren Jamie, Ashley, DJ, Ami, and Alex, and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Arlene Stepp. Mentha was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Lynn (Hammons) Steele, her grandson, Jeremy Scott Hammons, her sister, Barbara Jean (Cook) Hammons, and her brother, Cleaburn Cook. She will be missed dearly.
