Merilyn I. Leinenbach, 89, passed away Tuesday November 19, 2024, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, IN.
She was born August 16, 1935, at St. Meinrad, IN, to the late Dolph and Geneva (Genet) Foster, Sr.
Merilyn was a graduate of Bristow High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Leinenbach on June 6, 1953, and they shared 47 wonderful years together before his passing in 2001. During her working career, Merilyn had worked at General Electric, was the owner/operator of Leinenbach and Sons Trucking Inc. and the owner of Riverside Detailing Shop. She was a member of the St. Isidore Catholic Church. Merilyn enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, and she loved being with her family.
Surviving are her sons, Mike Leinenbach of Lake Alfred, FL, and Randy (Gertie) Leinenbach of Hawesville, KY; sisters, Charlotte (Tom) Arnold of Tell City, and Carol Joos of Troy; a brother Maurice Foster of Tell City; grandchildren, Michael Leinenbach, Julie Nix, Randy Joe Leinenbach, Ryan Leinenbach, Sherri Uebelhor, Kourtney Casebolt, Kristy Leinenbach, and Kasey Mullins; 24 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Merilyn was preceded in death by her husband Kenny Leinenbach; son, Rick Leinenbach; grandson, Shawn Leinenbach; and brothers, Gerald Foster and Dolph Foster Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with Fr. Luke Waugh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and from 8:30am to 10:15am Saturday at the Funeral Home.
Memorial Donations may be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church Cemetery.
