Merlin Ray Bannor

Merlin Ray Bannor, 62, of Bemidji, MN died Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his home in Bemidji, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be held from noon-4:00 pm, Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Scrambie's Trailside Tavern.
He was born on May 14, 1963, in Bemidji, MN, the son of Clayton and Janice (Charon) Bannor. He was raised and educated in Bemidji, attending the Nary School, Horace May, and graduating from Bemidji High School. He joined the Army National Guard after graduation, and served until an injury ended his service. He drove delivery for Bemidji Candy Company for a time. He married Julie Lusby, they moved to Colorado, and started a family. Merlin was a logger for several years in Colorado. He spent a lot of time in the mountains working, and hunting Elk and Mule Deer. It was his favorite part of the country to explore. Julie and Merlin later divorced. After returning to Minnesota, Merlin logged with his Dad Clayton. He went on to work for Miller-Bravo Beverage as their warehouse manager, and finished his career as a truck driver on the North Dakota Oil Patch until retirement. He had a good sense of humor, loved hunting and shooting sports.
He is survived by sons, Christopher (Johanna) Bannor, Kyle Bannor, brothers, Marvin (Terri) Bannor, Marlo Bannor, Mitch (Holly) Bannor, father, Clayton Bannor, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Janice, and his brother Mark Bannor.
