Merry Christine Casey

Merry Christine Kania Casey, 71, of Cynthiana, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her home. She was born in Wayne Co. Michigan, on Christmas day December 25, 1953, to the late Stanley Joseph and Josephine Lukatch Kania. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Dean Casey; their son, Eddie Dean Casey; and sister Francis Marie Shoemake.

She is survived by her son, Nicky Casey; a brother, Stanley Joseph Kania Jr.; sister, Marjorie (Mickey) Shoemake; grandchildren, Matthew Casey, Jacob Casey, Ashley Carpenter, and Jenna Casey; and a special friend, Jared (Karlee) Gosney.

Services for Merry will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation prior from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Burial will be at a later date at the Oddville Methodist Church Cemetery. View and sign the guest book at www.warefuneralhome.com.
