Michael Altschul Obituary

Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Ira and Beatrice (née Teich) Altschul, he resided there and Howard Beach for 28 years, before moving to Staten Island and living there for 32 years. He finally settled down in East Brunswick 18 years ago.
Prior to retiring in 2006, Michael was an Operations Manger in the Garment Industry in New York City, NY, for 42 years.
In his spare time, he loved spending time with family, going on cruises, playing poker, and going to Broadway shows.
Michael is predeceased by his parents, Ira and Beatrice Altschul; and his brothers, Howard and Arthur Altschul.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jacqueline (née Baron) Altschul of East Brunswick; his son, Brian Altschul and his wife, Sheri, of Cedar Grove; his daughter, Ilene Cohen and her husband, Scott, of East Northport, NY; and his two grandchildren, Rebecca Altschul and David Altschul.
A chapel service will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 9:45 am, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
