JACKSON, NJ - CAROLE SUE KLEIN passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Jewish Home for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Freehold, NJ. She was 77 years old.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, to Jack and Muriel (née Kelman) Rosenowitz, Carole spent her early years surrounded by family and lifelong friends. After marrying the love of her life, Max Klein, they began their family in Brooklyn, where their two sons, Bryan and Howard, were born.
The Kleins later settled in New Jersey, where Carole and Max raised their boys and built lasting friendships. It was home for many years and the place where Carole poured her heart into motherhood-always present, supportive, and opening her home to others. Many who knew her fondly considered her their "second mom."
Carole's career was as diverse and spirited as she was. She worked in education, sales, and management before finding her true calling in the baby furniture industry. She loved helping new families prepare for one of life's most joyful milestones and took pride in making each experience special through her warmth and attention to detail.
Art was another lifelong love of Carole's. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, and drawing, and in her later years rediscovered that passion. During her time at the Jewish Home, she embraced drawing again, using it as both a source of comfort and self-expression.
When their sons were grown, Carole and Max moved to northern New Jersey, enjoying a new chapter together before returning to central New Jersey to be closer to family.
Carole was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Muriel Rosenowitz, and her brother, Gary.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Max Klein; her loving sons, Bryan Klein and his wife, Lori, and Howard Klein and his wife, Erin; and her cherished grandchildren, Elijah, Ella, Peyton, Jackson, Avery & Logan.
A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9:45 a.m. at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment will follow at Mount Sinai Cemetery, Marlboro. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
