Lyle Freeman

OLD BRIDGE – LYLE S. FREEMAN passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, NJ. He was 85 years old.
Born in Irvington, NJ, to Harris and Ann (née Techler) Freeman, he resided there for 18 years, before moving to Somerville, Westfield, Sayreville, and then Old Bridge.
Lyle was a U.S. National Guard Veteran.
He was a self-employed window contractor for over 50 years, working until very recently.
In his spare time, he loved all fine art, Asian and Native American, being dressed to the 9's, he loved wearing beautiful clothes and jewelry. He also enjoyed going to flea markets, antiquing, thrifting, shopping, going out to dinner, traveling to Hawaii, and he loved his cats, Kai and Lani. He adored his sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, and many friends and other industry professionals. He loved going to Asbury Park, music, concerts, suntanning, and spending 24/7 with his wife of 40+ years, living life and working together with his best friend and soulmate, Roberta.
Lyle is predeceased by his parents, Harris and Ann Freeman.
Surviving are his wife of over 40 years, Roberta (née Miller) Freeman of Old Bridge; his sons, Hal Freeman and his wife, Staci Ware, of Charleston, SC and Eric Freeman and his wife, Elizabeth, of Endwell, NY; his grandchildren, Braden Hughes, Kelsey Freeman, Jacob Freeman, Abrahm Freeman and his wife, Morgan, and Paul Bonham; and his great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Kailah, and Octavian.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:45 pm, at New Mount Zion Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
